Australian Flora & Fauna II - Lizard Island and Great Barrier Reef

After leaving Sydney, we flew to Cairns, Queensland and then on a small plane to Lizard Island in the Great Barrier Reef. Lizard Island was incredibly beautiful. We snorkeled around Lizard Island as well as at Cod Hole and No Name on the Great Barrier Reef. We marveled at the diversity and beauty of the coral.

We also were amazed by the vibrant colors of the Giant Clams (Tridacna gigas) and the fish.
